HEATHER (KONOPKA) GERLACH, an Erie, PA native, is an independent teaching artist who received her Bachelor's of Arts degree from Slippery Rock University in 2000. Since then she has taught many genres of dance at various organizations in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. Currently, along with her classes at PineTree Performing Arts Center, she teaches for the Pittsburgh Dance Alloy, a modern dance company. In her free time, Heather choreographs and performs duet work with her fellow SRU alumnus, Sally Sherman. Recently, they were invited to perform in the SRU Faculty & Guest Artist Concert and LABCO's Black Box Series. Heather has danced with Alabaster Jar and volunteers her time with dance at Northway Community Church and The Mars Home for Youth.
